Features

GPS Should Be Easy

It should not take hours to teach a new user how to use GPS layout equipment. Via simplified commands, concepts and intuitive menus, get your Foreman Rover up and running in an hour or less.

Focused On Support

Send support requests right from your tablet in the field and get a call from SiteBoss in minutes. Choose support from your distributor or the manufacturer. Connect with them as they view your screen. View the tutorial video library to get a quick refresh training. You can even get data prepped, models built, and projects loaded remotely right from the manufacturer.

Rovers Should Be Light

Tipping the scales at only 4.5 pounds, the SiteBoss Foreman Rover is about half the weight of most popular GNSS rovers on the market.

GPS Can Be Compatible

Tired of being told since you purchased GPS layout equipment that you must continue to purchase that brand? With any brand file conversions, advanced radio compatibility features, and cellular modems, you can mix and match multiple brands of GPS with SiteBoss.

GPS Should Be Affordable

Why are GPS rovers so expensive? They don't have to be. Manufacturers keep adding features to justify their prices never decreasing. SiteBoss Foreman rover includes all constellations, tilt technology, ease-of-use, and compatibility. Fully loaded for $15k.

SiteBoss Foreman Rover FAQs

The SiteBoss Foreman with a 6” Tablet weighs just 4.4 lbs. making it the ideal lightweight option for field use.

SiteBoss uses .XML, .DXF, and .TXT, for Linework, Surface and Point Files. It uses .XML for localization files and will also work with .loc files in the near future.

Each SiteBoss package comes with tablet (6″ or 8″), field software, GPS receiver, and pole. Secondary hardware includes a case, chargers and a USB adapter for 6″ tablets. Common additional options include the DRAW software ($500 one-time fee), external battery pack, topo shoe, and bipod.

SiteBoss is compatible with almost all major brands as long as they are using UHF radios. Some manufacturers push Spread Spectrum radios which are proprietary from one brand to the next. SiteBoss can also use cellular communication instead of radio on both the base and the rover. Please reach out to a SiteBoss representative with any specific questions on alternate-brand compatibility.

You may or may not. There are base station networks throughout the country, some free and some subscription based. If there is a base station network in your area you may be able to avoid purchasing a base station.

Certain factors that could indicate you’ll need a base station include:

  • No base station network in the area
  • Poor cellular coverage
  • Adverse topography
  • Base station network available but doesn’t use all satellite constellations

SiteBoss personnel have a strong knowledge of all available networks and their capabilities. For further clarification, please contact us and we’ll be happy to advise you.
